Return to the real world!
I've been gone a long time, sorry about that. See what happened was I took a wrong turn somewhere about August and got lost for months. Who knew nursing school would take all of my time, talents, sanity, and life? I made it though. I missed an A by that much. I have officially become a B student even if only by one point.
I wish I had something profound to say but I am still stuck in school mode. Every morning when the alarm goes off I jump out of bed scared to death that I overslept and will be late for class. I am constantly looking at my agenda to make sure I am not forgetting to study for a test. Crazy stuff I am telling ya.
Regardless, I am back now even if only for a few weeks, as I am certain I will take the aforementioned wrong turn again in January. It's amazing how just when you think you have it all figured out life throws you a curveball. Oh well, as the title says, there's no crying in Raheball so we just suck it up and move on.
I will try to post my year end Christmas email before, well, years end.
Word for the day - Tachycardia-higher than normal heart rate
Sentence usage- I suffer from tachycardia whenever I think about 3 more semesters of this craziness.

Hot Feet Walkin' Round Disney World
This is the fam at MGM. Note the lack of make up and the friz up in the ponytail hot and humid I tell ya. I think I will use this shot to scare the dogs! Don't my kids look like little shrimps compared to John and Lac? No matter we still had a good time! This is one of those look fast or you'll miss it posts, the pic will disappear soon!

The Return to Reality

I am HOME! Actually we got back 2 days ago but needed recovery time. Vacation was awesome. I definitely think this was the best Disney experience for the kids. Bre is finally tall enough to ride almost everything. She rode her first roller coaster, Space Mountain. She wasn't tall enough for the Rock n Roll Roller Coaster and when they told her she looked at the guy and said "I am as big as anyone else here, I should ride too". That's my girl, independent to a fault. J bug got on everything which is surprising because he is old enough to have fear. We just set the rule that if you are tall enough you ride once, if you don't like it then you don't have to do it again. He loved them all and with little fear. Rach still isn't tall enough for Roller Coasters, the poor little shrimp. It must suck to have your younger sister be so much bigger. She did get to do the Tower of Terror but you can tell rides aren't really her thing.
Having my sister there was awesome. The guys took the kids to the space shuttle launch and we got a little pool time to ourselves. We always have a blast together. We became famous for disappearing on our way to the grocery. We'd be gone for a couple of hours until the cell started ringing requesting our immediate return. LOL! It's weird that you can't handle each others company when you are young but when older you crave it. Funny how life works out. I have to say, I wouldn't trade this vacation for all the gold in Fort Knox.
So hubby and I went to Tim and Faith concert last night. It was probably the best concert I have ever been to and I have seen a few. We had to park miles away in the rain but it all worked out. Except the hair. It was pretty fluffy by the time we got home.
I have a shameless addiction and I need to go feed it. It's nothing toxic but is time consuming and addictive. Big Brother Live feeds. Now you know my secret. I will be sure to post a picture of Panama City Beach soon, in the mean time check out the launch. Off I go!

Today's the day!
In less than 6 hours we are headed to the happiest place on earth! Could life be any cooler? Well, actually . . . took the van in on Tuesday for routine maintance and they found an obscure problem that requires this little part that was near impossible to find. I dropped it off (loooonnnggg story) and am patiently wating (ha ha) for my mechanic to call and say come pick 'er up. The minutes are ticking folks and I am getting frantic. This week has been a nightmare. I guess I am really paying for the thought that I might get away. On the other hand, maybe God is just pushing me into REALLY enjoying my vacation. Yeah, that must be it.
Beautiful Breezie got glasses this week. She looks so adorable with her little retro frames. Too bad she hates them and "losses" them whenever possible. I officially entered the trifecta of turning thirty. I have surgery on the 31st to remove my childrens first home, I got glasses last week myself, and my daughter called me old. What else could I ask for? But, hey, awesome vacation,I got in to nursing school, and I lost 12 lbs - so I guess it all evens out.
Wish me luck - off I go. Just remember - It's a small world after all, it's a small world after all, it's a small world after all. It's a small, small world!

T-minus 9 days and counting!
Woo-hoo!
A peaceful family vacation. Isn't that what any normal mother wants? Ahh, but then it gets rearranged. My family of five decides to add my niece and nephew. Then, my sister decides maybe they will come down for a few days. So our party went from 5 to 7 and now (hold your breath people) 17. Orlando will never know what hit them. I am telling you those hurricanes got nothing on us.
I am totally psyched though. My sister and I haven't taken a vacation together in thirteen years. That Spring Break in St Augustine was just awesome! We sat last night and shared the stories of that adventure with her kids. They actually went with us, they were just to young to remember.
My favorite memory of Spring Break 1993:
Kids are in bed, Mary and I are partaking in a few wine coolers in our ground floor, beachfront condo. It's late and she has on a short t-shirt and underwear. She makes a trip to el bano. As she turns the corner afterwards she catches the gaze of a young man on a midnight beach stroll. She promtly screams, ducks down, and returns to the bathroom. I am laying on the couch laughing my rear section off when I turn to look out the sliding door and the same moment she peeks around the corner to do the same. What to our wondering eyes should appear? The afore mentioned young man is pressed up against the glass trying to get a better view. We both shrieked and died laughing as did our peeping Tom! Ahhhh, those where the days!
